Electric vehicle(EV) safety is crucial to EV research and development, industrialization and propularization, and this problem must be solved. In terms of safety, the main difference between electric vehicle and traditional internal combustion engine vehicle lies in high voltage safety and traction battery safety. Only the safety of occupants to be protected, can electric vehicles have a bright future. This paper focuses on the safety problem of EV traction battery, reviews of EV safety problems,standards and regulations of traction battery safety, traction battery crush test, vibration test, calculation methods of isolation resistance, hazard of battery tests are analyzed one by one. First, EV safety related problems are analyzed by collecting and sorting technical specification of battery standards which are from domestic and overseas. Second, battery crush test and vibration test are analyzed by researching data, tests analysis and simulation analysis. At last, isolation resistance measuring methods and calculation methods are analyzed and hazard analysis of traction battery is researched by analytic hierarchy process(AHP). Through the study of this dissertation, comparative table of traction battery test specification, rationale of crush test and vibration test, difference of isolation resistance calculation methods, reasonable test sequence of battery are obtained.
