The Study On The Artistic Expression Research Of Brick In Contempory Architecture Design

As a kind of traditional building materials, brick is having remarkable achievement both on historical dimension and geographical dimension. As a typical representative of masonry materials, brick is mostly used as bearing maintenance system in the building, presenting a high aesthetic value, reflecting the humanities background and emotional accumulation in different regions while meet the demand of structure function and building function. In the process of rapid urbanization in contemporary China, the traditional brick materials are gradually reducing due to the prohibition of solid clay brick, the development of new brick material and the appearance of epidermal construction system provide the brick material with a variety of possibility. However, at the same time with the artistic expression enhancing while its human dimensions of care has been diminishing, a large number of "pure visual effects" building exterior is difficult to reflect the presentation should be artistic appeal of brick building. Aiming at this problem, starting point to study the artistic expression of brick to explore the development trend of contemporary brick artistic expression to summarize the contemporary strategy and explore its cultural connotations. Reflect on traditional architecture cultural heritage and development from the ontological point of view.This paper focuses on this research purpose to discuss from the following three parts:First of all, this paper analyzes it from the artistic elements of the brick, discussing from the aspects of size, color, quality feeling, texture and "transparency", summarizing expression and characteristic of each element combining with graphic.Secondly, this paper makes conclusions on the growing trend of artistic performance of contemporary brick from three aspects of the improvement of the material performance, the transformation of construction system and the transformation of material concept, including the change of size, color, quality feeling, texture and the sense of air permeability, the attention of material sustainability and the influence of phenomenology to material research on the artistic performance of the brick.And then summarize the contemporary strategy of brick artistic expression and cultural connotations under different construction systems through a large number of case studies.Finally, the article point out that the artistic brick material not only appears on pure vision, but also should go beyond mere aesthetic form, integrated natural, traditional culture, place emotion and other factors, critically use the modern technology to excavate the brick artistic value at contemporary trends and rich cultural connotations of brick building.
