A Study On The Planning Strategy And Method Of History And Culture Theme Park

With the acceleration of urbanization in China, the history and culture theme park has become an important strategy which major cities use to promote the development of their tourism and economy. As a great number of history and culture resources have been lost in the sand of time, the issue of how to materialize and publicize history and culture heritage in the planning and design of history and culture theme parks has been revealed. In this paper the theory and method of Experimental Archaeology have been carefully reviewed and applied to the planning and design of history and culture theme parks. A planning strategy named restoration based on the thinking pattern of experimental archaeology has been put forward to direct the detailed construction planning of the Huaibei Canal Town of Sui and Tang Dynasty.In this paper the methodology of experimental archaeology has a strongly connection with practice. In the restoration of canal facilities of the ancient canal town, the specific details concerning the application of restoration based on the thinking pattern of experimental archaeology have been given. The study of planning strategy and method of history and culture theme park is dedicated to providing similar theme park in domestic with creative reference and exploring a new path of continuing and enriching traditional history and culture.
