| It’s for a long time a focus in landscape architecture field as how to understand nature, how to use the law of nature and how to make the artificial built fit in the natural environment. Since the emergence of Fractal Theory in 1960, the understanding of natural forms are deepened from the outlooks to the underlined principles. Designers try to simulate the organic forms in a struactural and micro perspective, rather than mimic their appearances simplely. This paper attempts to analyse the recent utilization of the principle and algorithms of Fratal Theory in landscape design works, summarize and refine their design prototype and paradigm, to disccuss the newly employed design techniques,approaches and design thinking, as well as the transition of landscape aethetics.On the other hand, the small scale landscape space design is for a long time lack in-depth study. Employing the Fractal Theory, the papar attempts to have a deep research in the space design of comtemporary small and middle landscape enviroment,considering the uniques of landscape design proporty. The focus is the design of small and middle landscape space,and to interpretate the transition of design procedure and design thinking when the Fractal Theory applied in landscape discipline. The Fractal Theory contains the form generation and quantitative calculation,related to landscape design and landscape research perspectively. The framework is from From to Computation;on the one hand, it analyzes the how to use the fractal principle, fractal method and fractal algorithm in landscape design, discusses its effects, approaches and creative outcomes;on the other hand,how the fractal indexes are applied in landscape reseaches are analyzed and given critics. |
