With the fast-growing economy and improving living standards, people have been paying more attention to indoor environment, both in temperature and humidity. Air conditioning and refrigeration system then becomes a hot issue in academic research. The temperature and humidity independent control air conditioning system is superior to the traditional air conditioning system which fails to control temperature and humidity at the stated design parameters effectively. However, the independent control air conditioning system could handle the humidity and temperature separately, which makes the indoor temperature and humidity more suitable for men. Moreover, the solar wheel desiccant cooling system is more efficient, more clean, more environment-friendly and energy-saving, as it combines the advantages of solar energy and desiccant cooling system. Therefore, experts and scholars of this field turn their eyes to the research.This thesis focuses on the study of solar wheel desiccant system. An applied study on air conditioning system of an office building is conducted based on theoretical research.Theoretically, this research analyses the cooling mechanism and process of solar energy, while summarizing the merits and defects of multiple ways of air conditioning desiccant, including solid desiccant, condensation dehumidification and liquid desiccant. In the result, it is found that wheel desiccant and solar cooling system highly match each other, so that it is a rational way in air conditioning.This paper uses TRNSYS software to simulate the thermal process of an office buildings, in order to analyze the cooling load in winter and the heating load in summer, and calculate the heating load and cooling load of the building individually.At the same time, this paper builds a temperature and humidity independent air controlling system in TRNSYS. This system is used to simulate and debug the running situation. Also, systematic data analysis is conducted to find the running condition of the cooling season and heating season as well as its indoor humidity and temperature. The results show that this system is energy-saving.
