With the gradual expansion of the scale which wind power to the grid, the uncertainty of wind power and the wind speed correlation bring unprecedented challenges to the economic dispatch. Therefore, there is great significance to study the economic dispatch with multiple wind farms.Considering the wind speed correlation and the wind generation cost, an economic dispatch with multiple wind farms based on the theory of Conditional Value at Risk is established. In the model, considering the shortage which the single Copula function is not well described the wind speed correlation, applying the mix-Copula function to describe the wind speed correlation, and solving related parameters through quadratic programming. The wind generation cost which is caused by the uncertainty of wind power is considered, and by using the Conditional Value at Risk to express the cost, by analyzing the relationship between the confidence level s and the system cost to harmonize the contradictory between economy and safety. Because the poor accuracy of wind power prediction, as wind power output can cause extra running costs, the wind power project output is regarded as optimization variable, to get an optimum project output from the economic. The method of the scene and aggregation functions is used to handle the objective function to simplify the scheduling mode. The PSO is improved from the arctangent inertia weight, asynchronous sequential learning factor, particle feasible adjustment and other aspects, and is used to solve the established optimal scheduling model.The economic dispatch model is simulated from some aspects, such as the wind power project output is regarded as optimization variable, the wind speed correlation and the changed confidence levels, adapting the IEEE30 bus with two wind farms as an example. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
