With the constant development of strategy of western development and Silk Road economic belt, road infrastructure in western region cannot meet the sustainable development of the social economy and townandcountryconstruction, there is in urgent need of recovering its technical condition and improving its traffic capacity by carrying out new and expansion project conserve project. In this process it needs to be considered in choosing the path of excellent performance, low carbon and environmental protection building materials.Warm mix asphalt(WMA) is an energy-saving and environmentally-friendly, high performance building material, because of its "low energy consumption, reducing pollution" features are being used in road construction. However, in warm mix technologies brings many advantages at the same time, there are also a number of technical and application problems. Such as warm mix of select and warm-mix asphalt mixture mix design, mix study on compaction characteristics and performance, and so on. Warm mix asphalt mixture further promotion and application in our country, it is necessary to study its technical characteristics to put forward reasonable solutions.Based on the research of warm mix asphalt mixture in Xinjiang, with CT scanning, fractal and image processing from the macro and micro level on warm mix asphalt mixture under different molding methods mesa-structure and evolution process of warm mix asphalt mixture compaction system, warm mix asphalt mixture compaction characteristics are revealed. And based on established warm mix asphalt mixture compaction characteristics of evaluation index system for warm-mix asphalt mixture in Xinjiang region to further promote provides a theoretical basis.Study finds mixture’s road performance shown by macro not only by the effects of the mixture’s volume parameter, also restricted by relevant indicators from the mesa-level. Selection by micro indicator, to area ratio, the gap distribution fractal dimension, coarse aggregate particles larger than three all microscopic parameters of warm mix asphalt mixture sample internal voids and aggregates the distribution structure, to analyses the performance of warm mix asphalt mixture for road, eventually establishing links between index of macroscopic and microscopic parameters.
