The Travel Characteristics Analysis Of Passengers Based On The Bus Data

In order to maximize the advantages of urban public transport, we must understand the travel characteristics of urban residents, analyze the travel habits of residents, and master the time and space travel characteristics of group. With the wide application of the intelligent transportation system(ITS), traffic data collection technology has developed rapidly. Many cities have accumulated a large amount of public transport data, such as IC card data, GPS data, GIS geographic information data, vehicle scheduling information, etc. These data not only records the time sequence of every cardholder passengers who choose to travel by public transport, also records the running spatial-temporal trajectory of public transport vehicle, provide a reliable source of data for the study individual travel habits and temporal&spatial characteristics of passenger flow.Based on the bus IC card records data, the bus operation GPS data and other traffic static and dynamic data, the paper introduced processing steps of bus data analysis. Based on some city’s bus data, the paper used data fusion method to match the site of getting on, then fully analyzed structure and features of the passengers’ trip chain, established boarding stops judge model. According to experiment data with car survey, tested the reliability of model on passengers’ boarding and alighting bus stops.After getting passengers’ boarding and alighting bus stops and time of each travel, the paper amply introduced strength of the individual bus travel, the time and space characteristics. Rules and methods of characters of each travel value were discussed in detail. On the basis of the public transit data of a city in three months calculated travel characteristic value of IC card passengers in the city, and the establishment of the bus travel characteristics set of values.This paper has carried on the empirically analysis of bus travel data of a city in China. After the establishment of individual passenger travel feature value, bus passengers were analyzed by cluster analysis, dig out the the proportion of the population in different bus trip intensity and stability in the city, and for the people with different IC card categories, respectively, analysis the passenger travel scope of time and space and space-time spectral distribution in the city. Explain the time-space characteristics of different bus passenger and public transportation system grandly. To grasp travel time and space law of the stable population of public transportation is very important to the traffic operation management. And the range and the dominance of this kind of crowd not only reflect the difference of the behavior of the passengers, but also affect the distribution of the traffic flow in the morning, evening peak, and the distribution of the area.
