| Metal rubber material has a lot of excellent properties, such as high pressure resistant, anti-corrosion, wide operating temperature range, excellent load capacity and non-aging, so those characteristic decide that the metal rubber can be applied to solve the sealing problem in the harsh environment which always exist in the device of aerospace, aviation and national defense weapons. But, there is no study on the reciprocating sealing performance about metal rubber seal up to now. This work focuses on the research of reciprocating sealing performance about the metal rubber seal.The contact model of the meatal rubber seal interference fit with the rod has been build. The sources of the contact pressure have been analyzed. The method of semi-infinite plane in elasticity mechanics has been used to deduce the calculation formula of the contact pressure which came from the deformation of metal rubber ring. The deformation of the coat has been analyzed and the calculation formula of the contact pressure because of the circumferential stretching deformation of coat has been deduced. The practical calculation based on actual installation size of the metal rubber seal has been done.The equilibrium relation between the stress of seal deformation, contact stress and pressure of hydraulic oil has been used to build the numerical model of reciprocating metal rubber seal. The working process of the reciprocating metal rubber seal has been analyzed, this model included contact pressure analysis, fluid mechanics analysis and seal deformation analysis. By this model the change of leakage clearance in the contact area can be calculated.The reason of the leakage which happened in the process of the relative motion between the rod and seal has been researched, the reason has been consider as the Poiseuille flow and Couette flow. The concentric cylindrical annular clearance leakage model and Navier-Stokes equation have been used to deduce the leakage rate calculation formula. The Persson contact theory has been used to correct the leakage rate calculation formula.The test bed of metal rubber seal has been upgrade, the friction measurement modules and servo motor drive system have been added. The metal rubber seal with a gap in the axial side has been manufactured. The friction measurement test and leak test under the different pressure and velocity of the rod have been done. |
