As the construction environmental impact of China deteriorates gradually, in order to propel the environmental impact assessment in China, assess and decrease construction environmental impact, this research builds Chinese construction sustainability assessment system. The system uses rigorous database(CLCD, Chinese Life Cycle Database) and can be used through Internet which is good for popularization in China. The construction environmental impact is calculated by importing bill of quantities and generating the environmental impact through the assessment system of BEPAS(Building Environmental Performance System). The result quantizes construction environmental impact in order to achieve construction environmental horizontal comparison and promotes construction environmental impact decreation. This research can provide advices on design and construction in the period of design phrase.The achievement of this research are shown as follow:(1)This research builds Chinese construction life cycle database according to decomposition system of Chinese construction. The database includes material database, construction machinery database and LCA assessment index database. According to “code of valuation with bill quantity of construction works”,”Standard for sustainability assessment of building project”and” Chinese construction machinery quota”, the content of data base is tightly prescribed, which fills the gap of Chinese construction database. Construction material database includes main materials on construction market: cement mortar, lime mortar, composite mortar, other mortar, dust, masonry mortar, concrete, ferrous and nonferrous metal, glass, ceramics, oil paint, thermal insulation material, etc.. The standards of data collecting and processing are formulated according to ISO standard and general international regulations and form Chinese regulations. The process of data collecting, quality evaluation and control are stipulated and connected with CLCD.(2) This research builds construction sustainability evaluation platform(www.bepas.cn) for construction project sustainability assessment by users. The platform implements construction sustainability assessment on the Internet, it can read Chinese bill of quantities and update and maintain database on the Internet. The assessment report which including Excels and graphics is automatically formulated with users uploading files. The computing core of the platform is based on “Standard for sustainability assessment of building project” so that the objectivity and scientificity of the assessment can be guaranteed.
