Research On The Construction Technology Of The Traditional Villages In Mountainous Areas Of Jinzhong

There are many styles and kinds of traditional houses in China, of which Shanxi folk house occupies a large proportion. This paper takes Changling village as an example to analyze the construction technology of traditional villages in Jinzhong mountainous region with Shanxi characteristics. Changling village was selected as the third installment of the Chinese traditional villages in 2004, and is a typical village with more perfect historical environment and various architectural forms in Jinzhong Area. It locates in a small hill in the Taihang Mountains, and most of the building have simple and unsophisticated style of courtyard in Jinzhong plain and delicacy of mountain courtyard, with distinctive local characteristics.The word “construct” in Chinesecomes from "book of Jin". “The place with frequent disaster is not suitable for construct." Construction technology is not only to create the specific building components, but to create a whole village. From the aspects of space construction of village, courtyard space construction and building construction technology and other aspects detailed, this paper has analysed the historical value of Changling village and special construction techniques. And finally, the content of these studies is summarized in the protection and development of the village, which makes the paper has certain application value and theoretical value.This paper consists of six parts:The first chapter introduces the research topic, and the present situation, methods, content and framework of the topic.The second chapter is about the natural environment and the social and historical environment of Changling village, is based on, the environmental characteristics of the whole village is got by investigation of the village and refering to literature query;The third chapter is about the space form of traditional villages in Changling, and the intensive study of the space can enhance our understanding about the reason of ancient villages’ appearance;The fourth chapter is about the structure and construction characteristics of the architecture in the traditional village of Changling and the way to create a village to get comprehensive understanding of a region,;The fifth chapter is about the study of the structure and characteristics of Changling village and the pectination of the construction process, so as to restore a more complete village;The sixth chapter is about the study of the protection and development strategy of the traditional village in Changling, which is a guide to the future development of a village.From the different angle, this paper has analysed the connotative meaning of the Changling village. And from the angle of protection and development, it has also provided a reference for the future of Changling village. For the Changling village is a complex and open system, the author took the understanding of the mountain building as the link, using the hierarchical research method, to study the ancient village. And by focusing on the analysis of the space form and construction method of the architecture in Changling Village, it has eventually mapped the village conservation value. It provides a reference for future research of folk houses in Shanxi.
