Research On The Improvement Of Product Design Management In FB Company Based On Design Standardization

FB is a global engineering company that develops and manufactures innovative power systems. By means of merger and acquisition in recent years, company business range expanded from single charger to multiple new categories like battery packs, docking stations, power supplies, etc. These expansions bring company a new challenge how to provide customer a low cost, good quality and reliability solution, and prompt response to customer concerns during development process. Aiming at these challenges, author studied existing design management practices and then summary, finally provides specific improvement approaches. It is finally proved that these approaches are feasible and effective by implement them in FB design management practice.Firstly, it is the theoretical study and research status of related design management and standardized management at home and abroad. The research found that there is not much existing studies, especially in intelligent power solution field. Therefore, this paper take FB company intelligent power system design for the study, through design-oriented(DFX) theory, proposed standardization ideological methods and action measures of design sub function modules, such as mechanical design, electronic design, software design, and design verification. Secondly, in-depth analyzed product design and production processes and quality management system standardization, and incorporate the PDCA theoretical ideas into design management. Thirdly, Take FB company’s specific products as example, to verify the actual effect of the above design standardized proposals. The study found that standardized design truly brings improvement of design management level, and so greatly improve the design, quality and cost issues stand in the way of FB further development.
