Open Graded Friction Course(OGFC), also known as large voids open-graded drainage asphalt wearing course, it has to attract, build and sustained rainfall infiltration effect, can effectively eliminate stormwater runoff, mitigate peak runoff, and improve the surface hydrological environment. Paper a asphalt products factory in ningbo city of a mature OGFC- 13 products and the structure of OGFC surface as a drainage layer as the research object, OGFC surface drainage the rain through the accumulation of surface infiltration and short, only in the form of horizontal drainage, introducing water drainage facilities nearby. OGFC asphalt pavement as a sponge city road of rainwater control and management of one of the solutions, at present the road performance of research has been relatively mature, and the study of its drainage performance is not enough, can only rely on experience in construction of selection of OGFC pavement type, not science, properly designed to meet the requirements of local drainage performance. So split gradation asphalt wearing layer(OGFC) drainage performance, is of great significance.Porosity of paper analyzes the object’s target range. Reasonable goal of OGFC surface porosity should be 15%~25% to ensure strength, stability and durability of asphalt mixture and its efficient drainage function. And the study object(OGFC-13) goal of voids is 19%.Summary of OGFC drainage mechanism, pointed out the route. Of practical projects in poor drainage of OGFC problems, analysis of rainfall patterns, and rainfall characteristics of hydrology and hydraulics.Papers concluded on the basis of existing test method for coefficient of OGFC permeable material, frequently head developed OGFC rainfall Simulator and permeability tester. OGFC model test research and obtained OGFC hydraulic characteristic parameter of the material itself. Process and flow of OGFC summed up in four modes: attached with a flow proliferation, adhesion, lateral seepage, steady seepage, for OGFC provides a scientific description surface of the water flow.Paper received a hydraulic characteristic parameter of the OGFC-13 model material. Based on the finite element simulation results, combined with the annual maximum rainfall data, the OGFC-13 to a two-lane(single 4.5M), four-lane(single 8.5M), six-lane(single 12m) three types of road section a study on applicability of, to provide scientific and rational design of OGFC guidance reduce arbitrariness and blind.Summarized the basic technical thought of OGFC road surface drainage,Analysis and construction of OGFC drainage system is clear of all forms. Based on the above findings, OGFC road surface ditch drainage design method is proposed, analyzed and discussed an appropriate programme of pipe arrangement.
