The slope is the most common form of road engineering, with the rapid development of our economy and the increasing focus on environmental protection,road slope requirements are also getting higher and higher. In order to prevent road slope instability to bring huge economic losses to the country and endanger the people’s life or property safety, we should make the layout proper, according to local conditions to select practical, rational, economic and aesthetic engineering measures to ensure that the path of stability and the safety of high-speed driving, and with the surrounding environment coordination, maintain the effect of ecological environment relative balance and beautify the road, it also can coordinate with the surrounding environment, maintain the relative balance of the ecological environment and beautify the road.In order to adapt to the plateau environment and geological conditions of slope construction, improve the plateau slope of highway construction quality, combined with the complex terrain of the plateau in the Tibet Autonomous Region, climate variability and construction conditions of severe multi aspect factors of the requirements, analyzed the plateau highway slope and technical difficulties to solve the construction complex problems. The slope construction technology is particularly important for the weak ecological environment of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. Highway construction will impact on social economy, ecological environment, human environment and sound environment and so on, only the scientific analysis of the impact of highway on the environment and take effective prevention and control measures, linked closely with the highway construction, management and environment, in order to make the highway and the regional environment to achieve sustainable development. This paper analyzed the plants for slope protection in Tibet, summarized the new technology of plant slope protection in highway. The major climate characteristics in Tibetan areas, meteorological disasters and vegetation characteristics were studied.
