In this paper, the motion stability and control of magnetic bearing-rotor system are investigated. the following works are presented:(1) It is elaborated that the principle of magnetic bearing-rotor system, two parameters Taylor series expansion formula is used to approximate analysis electromagnetic force, PD control strategy is selected in the model, MATLAB is applied to analyze the model of closed-loop control, under the conditions of different control parameters, appropriate control parameters are selected for PD strategy by comparing the response graph. The dynamic model of single DOF system is established in the vertical direction, the appropriate parameters of PD control is selected through numerical simulation for the model, then the control objective is realized that the rotor can be sustained stability in a suspension condition.(2) 2-DOF magnetic bearing-rigid rotor system is modeled under the condition of PD control strategy, MATLAB is applied to the numerical simulation of the model, the phase diagram and the Poincare map of the system are analyzed under the condition of the different parameters values of ?,and nonlinear motion characteristics of the system is discussed. it is also analyzed that the effect of higher-order nonlinear terms of electromagnetic forces on the nonlinear dynamic system of the model.(3) The model of magnetic bearing-flexible rotor system is built, numerical simulation of the model is finished. The nonlinear motion characteristics of the system can be analyzed under the condition of the different parameters values of ?.Workbench is used to analyze the vibration characteristics of flexible rotor under the condition of different elastic support values, it also can determine the appropriate parameter of elastic support for the flexible rotor. The research conclusion can provide theoretical guidance for the design of structural parameters and the control parameter selection.
