PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs is a type of steel-concrete composite structure. It has the advantages of light weight, high prestressed importing efficiency, convenient construction,finer appearance,and avoiding the crack of concrete box-girder webs.For the purpose of further promoting the combination of corrugated steel web PC box girder structure in engineering, this paper compares the web PC composite box girder bridge with corrugated steel contrast PC continuous box girder bridge in the internal force of the structure, material consumption, construction efficiency, project cost,etc.The conclusions are as below:1. PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs can effectively reduce the weight of the structure and make the structure stress more evenly. With the example calculated in this paper, the construction weight and the bending moment controlling the section of the PC box-girder with corrugated steel websare both about 85% comparing to the PC box-girder bridge with same span. And with the increasing of the span of the bridge, they decrease more obviously.2. PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs can reduce the consumption of concrete and steel. With the example calculated in this paper, the concrete consumption on the superstructure of the PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs is 80% of the PC box-girder bridge, and 90% for steel consumption. While for the lower part of the structure,the pile length is about 90% comparing to the PC box-girder bridge.For bridges with wider span and poorer geological conditions, the advantage of reducing the fundational engineering will be more obvious.3. PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs can effectively shorten the construction period. For the bridges with large span constructed with Cantilever,it can not only reduce the amount of the construction segments,but also for each individual segment the construction time is only 80% comparing to PC continuous box-girder bridge.For the bridges with middle span and section cast-in-place, the corrugated steel webs can be manufactured in the workroom,so the construction time on the site can be reduced and the whole construction period can be shortened.4. PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs can effectively reduce the cost. With the example calculated in this paper,the cost for PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs is RMB6027.00/m2,while the cost for PC continuous box-girder is RMB6441.00/ m2.The former cost is only 93.6% of the later.For bridges of contionuous structure andwith 120m span or wider, PC box-girder with corrugated steel webs has economical advantage than PC box-girder bridge.
