Recently,modern-cities encounter new challenges and opportunities.Firstly,People’s life and property is threaten by war,especially in the context of nuclear war and air strikes warfare mode,therefore,it is necessary to trengthen civil defence engineering construction in order to protect our cities;secondly,serious pollution and cramped space in cities make it essential to exploit urban urderground space,in which underground urban complex develops fastest.Consequently,it is beneficial for civil air defence and the sustainable development of city to design the underground urban complex combining peace footing with war footing,achiving war preparednes.social and business goals,keeping cities running safely,orderly and efficiently.Studying on design of underground urban complex combining peace footing with war footing,this thesis discusses the history and design characteristics of underground urban complex combining peace footing with war footing.By investing underground urban complex example,sorting out and summarizing literature,it discusses six aspects to establish a comprehensive research framework.
