By studying the effect on the truck, in the existing road conditions, protection of highway transportation system to the maximum extent of the operational efficiency, at the same time, to reveal the formation mechanism of the bottleneck of the multi Lane freeway diverging areas, to the early prediction of traffic jam formation, preventing the occurrence of major accidents has played a positive role. The paper contrasts the domestic and foreign engineering standards and drawing lessons from the research results of related literature at home and abroad, to classify the vehicle models, types and geometry and summarize the characteristics of diverging area, clear the research object scope. The survey data of the traffic, the Triage area using traffic lane distribution, time-varying characteristics, speed characteristics, headway, lay the foundation for further analysis and calculation.Starting from the general rule of shunt vehicle operation, according to the characteristics of vehicles in different sections of the diversion area were sub analysis, on the basis of the research on influence of traffic flow for truck. Due to different traffic density and the proportion of trucks, influence of trucks are not the same, so the truck as a mobile bottleneck of the independent and dependent of the theoretical analysis, from the "moving bottleneck" form of the internal, external point of view, the research area of super car, vehicle flow lane change behavior, formation mechanism, evolution of congestion the mechanism and the main influencing factors on moving bottleneck analysis, influence mechanism of truck traffic areas.The influence of different traffic conditions by means of simulation. The simulation software and the following analysis of lane change model, and through field survey data, using the orthogonal experiment method, the model parameters are correct.From two aspects of efficiency and safety, to evaluate the influence of truck traffic areas. Safety zone diversion of traditional security index is not very good, with the traditional speed difference index based selection, speed consistency index improved, and through the establishment of the relationship between traffic conflict rate, verify the rationality of the index. In different traffic conditions, different splitting ratio, vehicle research ratio on the efficiency and safety of the Triage area, and according to the general law, put forward the Triage area improved safety measures.
