As the "big artery" of the highway network system,the expressway's smooth and efficient development is the only way for people to flow,logistics and information flow to form wealth flow.As of the end of 2017,the total length of expressways in China reached136,500 kilometers.With the rapid development of logistics industry and resource sharing,the proportion of trucks in China has been continuously increasing,and the traffic problems caused by them have emerged endlessly.Therefore,the paper makes an in-depth study on the truck barrier problem of multi-lane expressway,clearly defines the boundary and size of the truck combination,and provides a strong reference for traffic managers to ensure the highway's accessibility and safety.Based on the research results at home and abroad,the paper analyzes the characteristics and indicators of the multi-lane highway in the lane-limited operation mode ? And it summarizes the geometric characteristics,configuration,capacity and service level of the diversion area.In addition,the paper also analyzes the characteristics of the shunt area,including its strength,length and speed.From the perspective of the impact of trucks on traffic conflicts in the diversion area,the impact of trucks on the expressway is revealed.Based on the analysis of the formation mechanism,characteristics and indicators of traffic conflicts,lane change conflicts and follow-up behaviors,the operation status of trucks in the diversion area is analyzed,and the problem of truck barriers formed under multi-truck conditions is proposed.The identification and analysis of the truck barrier in the diversion area is to summarize the formation mechanism and overtaking model by moving the bottleneck phenomenon,and summarize the influence of the truck barrier effect on the lane changing behavior.Finally,it is concluded that in the two cases of large traffic volume,high trucks and freight queues,it is easy to form a multi-lane highway truck barrier.The paper obtains the recognition boundary of the truck barrier by processing the headway and analyzing the traffic flow data.Traffic flow data processing mainly includes online clustering,online optimization and offline clustering.The optimized data is clustered and stored,which is convenient for users to call at any time according to user requirements.The limit range of the truck barrier is determined according to the driver's maximum viewing distance,minimum viewing time,human viewing angle,and the headway of each lane.Through research and investigation of truck classification and vehicle length,large and small trucks are selected to represent the length of the vehicle,and the range of speed limits for each lane is specified.We use Matlab to build a multi-lane highway simulation model,and analyze the number and type of large and small truck combinations of truck barriers in each lane.According to the simulation results,the combination types of barrier effects in the outer lane and the middle lane are summarized,and the corresponding improvement measures are proposed.
