Hydraulic transmission technology in the field of current engineering machiner y is in a pivotal position. As one of the important components of the hydraulic sy stem, the hydraulic cylinder has a direct impact on the efficiency of the whole sys tem. In the production process of the hydraulic cylinder, the welding process is ess ential, so the research of the welding process for the hydraulic cylinder is very im portant.The object of this research is the practice company’s engineering machinery hydraulic cylinder. In this paper, the welding process of the hydraulic cylinder is simulated by the finite element method. And based on the actual conditions, the improvement scheme of structure and process aspects are put forward.Firstly according to the basic theory of welding, cleared that welding simulation is belongs to the category of thermodynamic analysis, and then propose the temperature field theory, the stress and strain theory and the welding heat source model. Then according to the actual working conditions of construction machinery, designed the hydraulic cylinder model, and established a simplified model of cylinder welding parts based on the finite element modeling requirements.And then simulated the whole welding process of the hydraulic cylinder in the finite element software ANSYS, obtained the whole process of the changed temperature filed and the corresponding stress and strain filed. And compared the simulation result with the actual hydraulic cylinder problems, learned that the welding process on the fuel tank of the overall use life and product qualified rate is very obvious.Finally, the article put forward the optimization scheme for the welding process, compared the different welding parameters in the experiment and ANSYS software, obtained the optimal welding parameters for the hydraulic cylinder, then put forward the structure design for the hydraulic cylinder. Avoided the unnecessary welding processThe study provide a theoretical basis for the hydraulic cylinder welding process and subsequent improvement design of hydraulic cylinder structure, and provided a theoretical reference for the simulation analysis of welding other components.
