The self-anchored suspension bridge is increasingly favored in the field of engineering for its better adaptability of the geological conditions, its beautiful modelling and the better economical efficiency. In recent years, many bridges of this type have been built in our country. However, due to the complexity of its structure, it’s difficulty to design and construct the bridge. So it has high practical and scientific value to optimize the static and dynamic characteristics by changing some parameters, which can provide references for the design and construction of this type of bridge. This paper based on the Tangshan Bay Cross Sea Bridge, systermatically analyzed the static and dynamic performance and the impact of related sensitive parameters of self-anchored suspension bridge. The main contents are as follows:First described the development and research status of self-anchored suspension bridge at home and abroad, summarized and analysed the basic structure and the mechanical characters. Synthetically analyzed the basic theory and the nonlinear factors of self-anchored suspension bridge. Then established the model of self-anchored suspension bridge with finite element software Midas/Civil, analyzed the static behavior of the model and the structural parameters which influnce the static property of the self-anchored suspension bridge. At last, according to the self-vibration characteristic theory of self-anchored suspension bridge, calculated and analyzed the self-vibration frequencies and modes of vibration. Also analyzed the inflence of different parameters on the dynamic performance of self-anchored suspension bridge. The conclusions can provide references for the design of wind resistant and earthquake resistant and the analysis of stability behavior.
