Self-anchored suspension bridge has become more and more popular and widely used inlarge projects with its graceful modeling, economic advantages and adaptability to variousgeology and topography feathers. However there are few available reference literatures on thestatic properties of concrete self-anchored suspension bridge, and the analysis of its ultimatebearing capacity still needs further study. Based on the project of Balimiao large bridge inJining Shangdong Province, the article studies the static properties and ultimate bearingcapacities of concrete self-anchored suspension bridge.Based on the consulting of large number of documents, firstly, the thesis introduces thedevelopment history and application status of self-anchored suspension bridge, summarizesits stress characteristics and advantages and disadvantages, indicates its research status andnecessity, briefly sums up the classic calculation theory, nonlinear analysis method andclassification of stable problems; secondly, the thesis analyses the structural behaviour anddeformation conditions of self-anchored suspension bridge under dead load, live load,temperature load, uneven settlement of foundation’s effect, and the most unfavorablecombination of the above loads by the utilization of large universal finite element software; atlast, based on the allowable stress method and limit state method as criterion, the thesisstudies self-anchored suspension bridge’s structural stabilities and ultimate bearing capacitiesunder uniform force on full bridge, uniform force on main span, the most unfavorable loadingon mid-main span, the maximal horizontal displacement of cable tower.Under the research on the above questions, the thesis obtains static properties at servicestage and ultimate bearing capacity at most unfavorable conditions comprehensiveiy, Thecalculation and conclusion of this paper can provides references for the design andconstruction of the same type bridge.
