Along with the development of the electric power industry in southeast of China,muddy soil along the river and coastal soft soil in southeast of Chinaregion, many power projects start construction, due to the complicated geological conditions, in the process of foundation excavation, the flow and silt soil pile breaking accident, and this kind of accidentcommon occurance in China southeastern coast.Instability and failure is one of large deformation of silt soil, If improper treatment and preventive measures, often can cause structures such as pile damage and casualties. Silt soil of large deformation analysis for engineering design is very significance. But so far didn’t get a better solution, the key problem is not a numerical calculation method to better describe the movement of soil mass and destruction.For silt soil flow problems in engineering, this paper adopts the smooth Particle Hydrodynamics method(Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics,short for the SPH method) to describe the flow behavior of soils. Using SPH-FEM coupled method analyze the role of piles and soil in the process of foundation pit excavation. Themainresearchworkiscarriedoutasfollowing:(1) Aiming at the large deformation of soil in engineering, using SPH algorithm and D-P soil plasticity model for simulating soil flow. Analyzed 45°excavation under the condition of the mechanical behavior of pile and soil, and comparing with the actual situation, and the results are basically identical. That SPH-FEMcoupled can well reflect the flow of soil damage and mechanical behavior of pile.(2) To compare different put the mechanical behavior of angle of slope excavation pile, through analysis, the greater the displacement of the pile body is smaller, it is not easy to damage. By comparing the pile of concrete damage can get the same conclusion. Explain silt soil excavation, excavation on both sides of the soil on pile body is influential.Combined with the pile spacing changes, analysis of the shielding effects of group piles, the pile spacing increases, pile curtain effect is small.(3) Compare the different depth of excavation, the location of pile fracture, analysis of the soil pressure calculation, it is concluded that the silt soil mechanics is poorer, 3 m and 5 m depth of excavation, deep excavation of earth pressure zero position basically the same, the plastic zone is basically in the same place, need to be so muddy soil area in excavation of silt soil consolidation, improve its earthiness.And analyzes the stress of soil, and analyzes the position of the zero point of the earth pressure.
