The meshing process of helical gear pump is very complex, traditional theories and one-dimensional simplified model based on lumped parameter are not enough for its performance and dynamic characteristic analysis, this paper carries out related work about the three-dimensional flow field numerical simulation of helical gear pump, and looks for more optimal strategy for achieving the dynamic grid region of the rotor, finally analyze the internal flow law of helical gear pump, which may provide references for the design and optimize of helical gear pump.First, the background and significance of this thesis are presented. It briefly introduces the current study on gear pump at home and abroad and stretches the main content of the present paper.In Chapter 2, analyzing the theoretical flow characteristics of helical gear pump when considering the helix angle and tooth width parameters, and the effect of various parameters.In Chapter 3, the tiny gaps in helical gear pump and complex meshing process result in difficulties in instantaneous flow field simulation and consumes huge time to calculate. This paper tries using different methods in CFD software when processing dynamic mesh area of the rotor of the helical gear pump. The results showed that, the unique dynamic regional grid template should be developed for helical gear pump, and take into account the slight gap meshing.In Chapter 4, meshing the rotor of helical gear pump using SCORG software, and simulating the internal flow field by using Pumplinx software which comparing the difference whether the oil compressibility and cavitation phenomenon are considered. Analysis showed that the compression and cavitation show a greater impact on the pressure distribution inside helical gear pump; the pressure in tooth cavity is different along the axial direction of helical gear pump.In Chapter 5, analyzing the hydraulic force which acting on helical gear in its circumferential direction, and comparing the effects of cavitation and fluid compressibility, finally analyzing the difference with various helix angle.
