With increasing application of large-scale plastic parts, requirements of product become higher and higher, quality of product depends on whether design of mold is reasonable or not. To large-scale plastic part, there are a lot of characteristics such as larger sizes, more features and so on, design and processing of traditional mould mainly rely on experience, need to be trialed and repaired again and again, thus extend production cycle and cut down production efficiency. Apply Moldflow injection simulation analysis software, simulate injection molding process on the computer, predict the product defects, reduce the number of mould trialed and repaired, improve production efficiency effectively, hence reduce the cost.Use large-scale plastic part-recreational vehicle bathtub as research object, in order to meet the need of guest’s requirements with bathetub molded by injiection molding machine under the condition of clamping force with 1400 tone, utilize Moldflow software to conduct injection molding simulation, carry out four aspects content including such as mould structure optimization, defect analysis and prediction, optimization of process parameters, actual injection plastic molding and so on.(1) Recreational vehicle bathtub mould structure optimization, use Moldflow software to conduct gate location analysis, filling and cooling analysis, compare analysis results, optimize gating system and cooling system, complete optimization design of the mould. And under the condition of optimized mould structure, carry out preliminary optimization of packing and clamping force analysis, determine packing pressure and time, complete preliminary optimization of process parameters, realize bathtub mould optimization molded by injection molding machine with 1400 T smoothly.(2) Infection defects analysis of recreational vehicle bathtub, in order to solve injection defects problems of large-scale plastic part Recreational Vehiclebathtub, use Moldflow software to conduct prediction of injection defects, analyze recreational vehicle bathtub defects containing short shot and shrinkage deformation, compare analysis results, optimize and improve the defects.(3) Analysis of recreational vehicle bathtub injection molding process parameters optimization, use Moldflow software and orthogonal experiment method, take warpage amount of recreational vehicle bathtubs plastic part as an index, select five factors including mold temperature, melt temperature, packing pressure, packing time and cooling time with three levels to arrange orthogonal experiment, carry out warpage deformation simulation analysis, by analysis obtain optimized combination of process parameters of recreational vehicle bathtub plastic injection molding. Base on optimized process parameters, study effect of each factor on warpage deformation of recreational vehicle bathtub plastic by changing one factor at a time with keeping others at their optimized level.(4) Actual injection plastic molding of recreational vehicle bathtub, based on results of Moldflow analysis, guide the design and processing of recreational vehicle bathtubs mould, mold in injection molding machine with 1400 T, produce qualified recreational vehicle bathtub plastic parts, prevent some problems of large-scale plastic in the injection molding production, shorten the development cycle, improve the production efficiency and reduce the cost of production.
