Water damage is one of the main factors that causes local damage of asphalt pavement and the damage will be more severe under the effect of temperature, load and water. Asphalt pavement in high temperature and rainy regions has eroded by high temperature and rain for a long time, not to mention the heavy load and traffic. Under the effects of water, temperature and load, the local damage of asphalt pavement in said regions is more frequent and critical than other regions. Therefore, a rapid repairing technique based on the special environment and traffic characteristics of said regions is imminent.This paper systematically studied the rapid repairing technique considering material and maintenance equipment as well as proposed a rapid repairing technique applied to local damage of asphalt pavement based on the special environment and traffic characteristics of high temperature and rainy regions. A placing cement-emulsified asphalt rapid repairing material that used in moist environment was developed and the main components of said material were studied to put forward the control specifications of them; the mix design method of said material was studied to get its parameters; according to the environment and traffic characteristics of high temperature and rainy regions, the pavement performances of the material including water stability, high temperature stability and resistance to environmental erosion were studied with satisfactory results. This paper invented the maintenance equipment for rapid-repairing material with the plane layout and whole 3D model as well as studied its function, configuration and power system. Based on the above research about material and equipment, the rapid repairing technique for the local damage of asphalt pavement in said regions was studied. A standard construction method called "three-layer repairing method" was proposed and put into project; a field rapid repairing technique for local damage of asphalt pavement in said regions was put forward based on experience. The feasibility of rapid repairing technique for local damage of asphalt pavement in said regions was verified which provided a theoretical support for widely use.
