3D laser scanning technology as an emerging field of surveying and mapping technology, which compared with the traditional mapping technology with a non-contact measurement, data sampling rate, resolution, accuracy, panoramic view of the scanning features. 3D laser scanning technology has gradually become a new means of the majority of research workers and engineers to solve problems with the technology continues to evolve and progress and provide more comprehensive and accurate data base for scientific research and engineering applications. This article is a 3D laser scanning technology in the roadbed subsidence monitoring the application of research to change the traditional pre-laid monitoring points subgrade settlement monitoring methods, processed and analyzed by point cloud data obtained experimental area, access to the experimental area of roadbed more comprehensive settlement information.This paper describes a 3D laser scanning technology background and significance of applied research in the roadbed subsidence monitoring and research status of the technology, and the 3D laser scanning technology has been described in detail, including its instrument works, technology Features such as, the influence of the 3D laser scanner point cloud data acquisition and accuracy of the factors studied. According to the purpose of this study and the experimental area, developing a monitoring program to get the experimental data. According to the point cloud data processing requirements by using the Cyclone software to obtain the experimental area of stitching and de-noising pretreatment. Aiming at the characteristics of point cloud data presents a grid analysis method, the coordinate in the MATLAB calculation grid cross points of each data by interpolation method of value analysis, settlement of point cloud data was compared in different periods of the experimental area of subgrade. After analysis and comparison with traditional leveling monitoring results and 3D laser scanner point cloud data are basically the same results, explains the research of 3D laser scanning technology is of great value in scientific research and the social and economic significance in the application of monitoring of subgrade settlement.
