The Research Of Bamboo Product Design Based On The Slow Design Idea

Slow design is proposed by the west, whose core idea is to balance the relationship between people and products, people and environment, people and social culture, and against the model of commercialization under the environment of consumerism.This paper hopes to use the slow design idea to change our current fast-paced lifestyle, and let people experience the state of slow life.First of all, this paper studies the rise and development of slow motion and slow design, elaborates the slow design ideas and principles, comparative analysis of slow design and other related design concepts, and summarizes the similarities and differences.Then summarizing the connotation and characteristics of bamboo culture by studying on bamboo culture and slow design, and summing up the traditional,symbolic, practical characteristics of bamboo culture forms and slow design by analyzing it’s correspondence from social environment and the culture heritage.Slow design integrates into the traditional culture and regional culture to enhance the level of emotional communication between people and products, so inspiring people to new awareness of bamboo products. According to the characteristics of slow design of bamboo products, this paper expounds the principles, forms and evaluation criteria of it, so as to carry on the practice of slow design of bamboo product. This topic aims at guiding people to understand nature and live life at a slower pace and enjoying the slow life through the slow design philosophy of bamboo products, and maintaining human and environment, human and society culture more healthy and sustained development.
