As an off-highway vehicle, wide-body mining truck is widely used and it works in poor conditions and carries large weight. Frame is the important load-bearing structure of wide-body mining truck, and cab, hydraulic lifting system, carriage, powertrain and other assemblies or components are mounted on the frame rigidly or flexibly. Therefore, frame has a great impact on wide-body mining truck. Fatigue failure as a destructive form of wide-body mining truck frame occurs most frequently, and it can reduce the security and stability of vehicle, shorten the life of the vehicle, so carrying out the frame structure fatigue analysis and fatigue life prediction is very important and meaningful project. The paper combines multi-body dynamics simulation analysis, finite element analysis and fatigue life analysis together, finishing the fatigue life prediction of wide-body mining truck frame.Through built three dimensional model of frame paper using Pro/E and simplified it according to certain principles, iges file is exported and input it to HyperMesh software. Frame finite element model is created, and model quality meets the standard through checking. Then modal analysis is done and results show that the first eight frequencies of the frame keep away from frequencies of road and engine.Following a bottom-up modeling order, the paper builds dynamic model of wide-body mining truck. According to driving road conditions of wide-body mining truck, the paper chooses D stage random road as an input, sets appropriate speed, and carries out dynamics simulation. Then load time history from the position where the frame and suspension connect is extracted, establishing the foundation for fatigue analysis of the frame.Based on inertia relief method, the paper exerts eight units load on frame, carries out quasi-static stress analysis and acquires the stress results. Then combining with the result of dynamics analysis and S-N curve of the frame material, the paper uses MSC. Fatigue, and obtains the fatigue life results of the frame according to nominal stress method. The fatigue life results meet the requirements set by the company, and the minimum mileage of G760 wide-body mining truck is 8.28×105km.The fatigue life analysis of G760 wide-body mining truck frame shows that using CAE computer analysis technique can efficiently predict fatigue life of the frame, which provides a basis for subsequent optimization or lightweight frame. On the basis of this guide, the reliability of the frame can be improved and extend the life of the vehicle.
