Pingtan island is the largest island in Fujian Province. It is located in the east of Fujian province. It is the closest place to Taiwan island. They face each other across the sea. It is the key construction area supported and approvaled by nation and Fujian province in recent years. Its characteristics of monsoon climate is significant, and belongs to the typical area of wildly windy climate in China. For a long time, the wind environment is the most important climate factor for the settlement site selection,urban planning, architectural design, etc of Pingtan island. This thesis take Pingtan island wind environment as the research object, the research work mainly completed the following aspects:(1)The traditional settlements of Pingtan island have been carried on field research in the aspect of its site selection, urban planning, architectural layout and form, the change rule and the size of the wind speed of the typical area have been measured,the influence of the wind environment on the residential environment construction on Pingtan island has been revealed, the experience of traditional settlements in location and residential wind preventing and ventilation have been summarized.(2)To explore and compare several regional digital terrain modeling method, a whole new approach have been proposed that based on SRTM, Global Mapper, GIS Map data management, combining Auto CAD, Sketch Up software, realized regional terrain modeling docking with CFD software(PHOENICS) scientifically.(3) Based on the regional digital terrain modeling, using PHOENICS software has carried on the wind environment of the Pingtan island simulation, and according to the distribution rule of wind environment and habitat suitability, the regionalization of wind environmental of Pingtan island has been carried on.(4)Based on the simulation results of the wind environment, the evaluation of the wind environment of existing Pingtan comprehensive experimental area overall planning has been carried on,the best toward and permutation combination method of building groups has been discussed.
