At the end of the 20 century, the development of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) is quick and though to be importance in many countries. There are many institutes home are researching it. UAV will take a significant effect in the construct of national defense because of the characters of the modern war and the UAV itself. The Ground Control System(GCS) is the key part of the UAV system, in which the operator control the behavior of the UAV through the human-computer interface, so the design of the interface should observe the law of "man is the focus" that the operator can maintain the high level of apperceive, and reasonably assign the resource of the "man" and "automatic equipment", and the intelligent accessorial decision-making system is needed too, these can obviously decrease the improper operation and the release the operator.On the basis of the hardware flat of the Ground Control Station(GCS), the monitoring information and the GIS information is processed and the human-computer interface is designed in the thesis, and the intelligent path planning of the UAV is researched.The communication protocol is for the system is analyzed. The coding and the decoding software are designed according to the structure characteristic, transmission mode and checkout mode of the report passing.Path planning is the important part of the GCS, some key technologies of the path planning are described and the mathematic mode is modeled in the thesis. An improved Dijkstar arithmetic with tab is proposed, the optimal way points of the UAV can be found by the arithmetic. Aim to some aspects of the path planning based on VORONOI diagram, an improved arithmetic proposed, and it is proved to be effective by the simulation.The part of software deal mainly with the real-time information of the ground station and the monitoring system. The principle and technology of designing human-computer interface have been discussed. An interface for the UAV system is designed which is powerful and use-friendly. As there are some limitations of the MapX for process of GIS, the solution is presented in the thesis, which extends the application field of MapX.The functions of the monitoring system are proved to be useful in the open air experimentation.
