Traditional application of push-endoscope on medical diagnosis is invasive. Especially for the diagnosis of small intestine bleeding diseases, push-endoscope is unreachable. Many patients choose to give up the diagnosis, which often leads to serious aftermath.Wireless Capsule Endoscope(WCE) is a newly-developed non-invasive measurement of alimentary canal diagnosis, which could pass through human body with thousands of image shots, while causing no damage. The invention generally solves the problems exsiting in the small intestine dignosis. The system’s prominent merits are listed as follows. 1) The process of dignosis is invasive, with good repeatability. 2) No painfulness. Patient could move freely. 3) Accessible to the digital images of human alimentary canal, which is easy for storage and compression and comparable to various cases through the patients database.4) Direct image acquisition of unobservable organs, improves the dignosis accuracy. Due to the advantages listed above, WCE related projects draw the attention from international biomedical fields. The thesis, sponsered by National Natural Science Fund Program (No. 30570485) and National Hi-Tech Development Project (863 Project), introduced a simple structured WCE solution with low cost. The system, based on an integration and simplicity-centered scheme, consists of camera module, radio frequency module and In Vitro data storage module. In terms of the clinical requirement, we reconsidered the design of software and hardware while realizing the function of real-time image acquisition and transmission in order to lower the power consumption. The new developed prototype device could also easily adjust the frame rates by modification on software and hardware. Moreover, the image data transmitted could be received and stored on a CF card based system. The simplification of structure paves the way for further research as well as clinical application.
