Capsule endoscope system is a new-style wireless checking system which is woundless and painless used for Gastrointestinal tract. When checking, the patient swallows one pill-sized images acquisition device, the images collected are transferred by wireless way to extracorporeal receiving device, the doctor browses the received images, diagnoses the patient's Gastrointestinal tract disease by image workstation. Compared with the conventional pulsive endoscope, capsule endoscope has the strongpoints of indolence, security, sanitation and operating easily, etc. Presently, some countries have concentrated efforts on the research of capsule endoscope and developed out the clinical practical products respectively, such as Israel, Japan, Korea and China. Capsule endoscope system is a synthetical system which is the combination of MEMS technology, Opto-Electronic Engineering, wireless communication technology, biomedicine technology, etc. It also includes various subsystems, such as wireless image transmission, power supply, illumination, magnetic field drive, etc. Among them, wireless image transmission is the key technology of capsule endoscope.In this paper, a kind of entire digitization scheme about the wireless image transmission subsystem of capsule endoscope is brought forward, adopting the CMOS image sensor OV7649 module and single chip 2.4GHz transceiver nRF2401 to carry out image acquisition and wireless transmission, controlled by high speed mixed-signal MCU c8051F330,which has the excellence of low power, simple structure, low cost and good security, it's a new trial to design the wireless image transmission subsystem of capsule endoscope. On the basis of scheme design, hardware and software is designed, also the debugging of model machine is carried out, then, the wireless transmission of B&W image is achieved. Finally, the improvement scheme is brought forward specifically for the shortage of the former design, and, the future development direction of capsule endoscope is discussed.
