As a special kind of museum which based at the university campus, the university museum has some features different from other common museum. At present, during the process of starting and development, for most of the university museums in our countries, the study and the teaching function show strong and education function is weakened more or less. However, the bad performance of education function with a feature of social function has impeded the application of other two main functions like the collection and research. It is undeniable that the university museum after the reform and opening up of our country has made great progress in the past thirty years with the performance of the overall quantity increase, the collection increase, the scale increase and the digital show construction. However, due to various reasons, there are still some problems in the development process, and these problems often mix each other.Aimed at the various problems encountered by university museum, and according to the latest museum regulation, this thesis puts forward a series of corresponding solutions from the reality of social and economic development in China, including self consciousness and positioning, management system and personnel system reform, financing and other aspects. Finally, the author considers that, under the background of the new social and economic environment, only the university museum reposition the self cognition, and make full use of its potential social service function, can it adapt to the economic development in the new era through continuous reform management system and personnel system. So that it can solve various problems encountered in the development process, and realize self value.
