An Analysis Of The Domestic Factors In The National Development Bank

BRICS Development Bank is not only a beneficial exploration of BRICS’deepening economic and financial cooperation, but also an important change ofBRICS from discussing principles to pragmatic cooperation. BRICS DevelopmentBank is not only affected by the external factors, such as international financial crisis,but also subject to their strong desire for seeking self-development and realizing theirnational interests. In international relations, we must investigate the root case of acountry’s national behavior from the domestic perspective, because any country’sbehavior is the result of a interaction of many domestic factors. Therefore, if we wantto study the factors that affecting the foundation of BRICS Development Bank, wemust pay attention to the importance of domestic factors.This thesis mainly studies the role of domestic factors played in the process ofestablishing BRICS Development Bank, and analyzes the commonalities anddifferences of BRICS from the economic and social field respectively, in order todistinguish the positive factors and the negative factors that affecting theestablishment of BRICS Development Bank. Through the research, we find that theinfluence of economic factors is stronger than that of social factors. In terms ofspecific areas, BRICS have more othernesses and differences in monetary andfinancial field and trade area, but overall, the generality is greater than the difference;in the field of infrastructure construction and anti-poverty, they have commoninterests, and the generality is much greater than the difference.All in all, the combined action between domestic economic factors and socialfactors, along with the mutual effect between positive factors and negative factorsdecide it will be a long and complicated way to establish BRICS Development Bank.This requires BRICS to make joint efforts, expand their converging interests andbridge their differences. As one of the most important members of BRICS, China hasresponsibility to ensure that BRICS Development Bank could be established as soonas possible, and plays a leading role in it.
