Urbanization can promote economic growth through consumption and investment,agglomeration and radiation effect, the adjustment of industrial structure and theincrease of income level. Urbanization is also an important strategy choice instimulating domestic demand,improving people’s wellbeing, achieving the economicgrowth and promoting the overall social progress. Under the environment in which theglobal financial crisis arise, trade protectionism increase overseas, the domesticeconomic development and anxi ous to complete the task of steady development of theeconomy and adjustment of economic structure, we should pay more attention toimprove the quality of urbanization, play a supporting role in the industrial developmentin the urbanization construction, foster new economic point of growth, achieving thegoals of poly urbanization, in situ urbanization and eco urbanization at an early date.Based on the analysis of the background of the study, we review the article wroteby both the domestic and foreign researchers. Firstly, theory of foundations such aseconomics, economic growth, industrial structure and two dual economy structuretheory are discussed in Chapter1; Chapter2explains the meaning and characteristics ofurbanization, city, new urbanization, and the development process at home and abroadof urbanization; Chapter3and Chapter4expatiates the influence of new urbanizationon the economic in our country in the future from the view of theory and instance,respectively; Combined with the experience of urbanization in some countries andprovinces,Chapter5gives proposals on accelerating the building of new urbanizationfrom five sides that include the people foremost, strengthen the industrial support,coordinating urban and rural planning,in order to accelerate institutional innovation andadvocate ecological civilization.
