The ancient Silk Road not only has a deep history bus also conects the developed East Asia Economic Circle and prosperous European Economy Circl. This once business going international route made great contribution for economic and cultural exchanges. But poor transport and infrastructure led to slower flow of materials, labor and other resources, this trail has lost its charm of the past. Under the influence of a variety of factors such as social, historical and cultural facors, the once-glorious trail has gradually formed an economic depression belt.President XI Jinping pointed out in his speech at Zhaerbayefu University:strengthening policies, access roads, trade, currency and communication with people is essciencal to both strength regional cooperation and build "New Silk Road economic belt".Road transportation costs is an important variable affecting economic growth, reducing transport costs could accelerate spatial mobility of elements and thus promote economic growth. That is, logistics is one of the most important variables affecting regional economic growth. How does logistics affect economic growth of the New Silk Road Economic Zone? With the ten provinces of the New Silk Road Economic Zone as research object, select freight transport, logistics network mileage and logistics industry production as indicators from three dimensions such as logistics demand, logistics supply and logistics development effectiveness.Using2001-2011annual data conducted a quantitative analysis of the relationship between logistics and economic growth in the New Silk Road Economic Zone, the results show that logistics plays a significant role in economic growth of the economic zone. Then analysye the difference often provinces in economic growth, the result shows that dependence of economic growth on logistics varies in different provinces.Economic growth in Ningxia, Shaanxi, Qinghai show higher levels of dependence on logistics, and economic growth of Shanxi Province shows the weakest dependence on logistics. However, any economic element has both time and space property.Geographer W.R.Tobler pointed out:there is a certain correlation between things in different regions. Results will be biased when ignoring the space factor. So in the5th chapter of this article,we take the geo-spatial factors into considerasion, for further analysing the impact of logistics on the economic growth of the New Silk Road Economic Zone. With the introduction of spatial weight matrix, calculating Moran’s I of provincial logistics and economic growth. Results show that there are significant spatial correlation among the provinces in the New Silk Road Economic Zone.Taking into account the externalities of spatial conditions, build a spatial panel data model for analysing the impact of logistics on the economic growth of the Economic Zone. Results show that freight transport has positive externalitiest, logistics network mileage does not exist significant spatial spillover, logistics production has negative externalities. Finally make relevant policy recommendations accounting to the conclusions, and the prospect of further research.
