Since the Silk Road Economic Belt has been put forward,it has aroused widespread concern at all levels of government and academia at home and abroad. It is of practical significance to study how to promote the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt in order to promote inter-regional interconnection and enhance the level of regional cooperation.Traffic infrastructure is one of the most important aspects.A lot of studies have shown that transportation infrastructure will have an impact on economic growth and regional integration. On the one hand,by enhancing the accessibility between regions, accelerating the spatial flow of production factors and promoting the reallocation of economic activities, the improvement of the transportation infrastructure will affect economic development of the region and neighboring areas. On the other hand, improving the transport infrastructure can promote regional economic integration by reducing interregional trade costs and improving trade efficiency.Under the “the Belt and the Road” and interconnection strategy background,to study the spatial effect of transportation infrastructure in the Silk Road Economic Belt,is of great significance. The present studies on the Silk Road Economic Belt focus on the macro strategy itself, include the significance of the strategy, overall progress in implementation, the challenges and prospects and so on.Most of them are qualitative analysis, and quantitative empirical analysis is relatively few. This paper takes the area along the Silk Road Economic Belt as the research object, combs the development of the transportation infrastructure along the line at home and abroad, and systematically analyzes the relationship between traffic infrastructure, spatial spillover and regional integration in theoretical analysis and empirical test.It fills the relevant research gapsand provides a new perspective for the research on the Silk Road Economic Belt.It can also provide relevant experiences for our country. This paper mainly includes the following aspects: Firstly, based on the relevant theory,we construct a theoretical analysis framework to elaborate the interaction mechanism between traffic infrastructure construction, economic growth and spatial distribution.Secondly,we introduce the cross-border traffic infrastructure construction along the Silk Road Economic Belt and the impact on the domestic development and opening up layout.Thirdly, the paper analyzes the spatial and temporal evolution of the traffic infrastructure along the Silk Road Economic Belt and compares the spatial distribution of the traffic infrastructure along the three regions.Fourthly, the coupling and coordination model is used to analyze the coupling coordination between traffic infrastructure and the urban economy along the three line.Fifthly,we use a spatial metrology model to analyze the spatial spillover effect of traffic infrastructure in Silk Road Economic Belt.Sixthly,we analyze the degree of regional integration in China and the impact of transport infrastructure on economic integration. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: firstly, the development of the transportation infrastructure in the Silk Road Economic Zone has made considerable progress, and the stock and quality of various transportation infrastructures have been improved rapidly. However, there are imbalances in the development of traffic infrastructure along the three lines. The infrastructure of the Zhongnan Peninsula Economic Corridor is relatively backward. At the same time, there are some spatial differences in the development of traffic in the eastern, central and western of the three lines. The eastern part is more developed and the central and western regions are lagging behind.Secondly, the level of coupling coordination between traffic infrastructure development and economic growth of the cities along the Sino-Russian economic corridor is relatively high, and more balanced, ahead of other cities involved in the other economic corridors. The new Eurasian Continental Bridge cross the whole China from east to west, and in terms of the coupling coordination, the eastern region is better than the western region, gradually declined from east to west. The degree ofcoupling coordination of the cities along the Zhongnan Peninsula Economic Corridor is very low.Thirdly, the traffic infrastructure along the Silk Road Economic Belt has significant externalities and spatial spillover effects, which have a significant effect on the regional economic growth in the region and adjacent areas. There are differences in the spatial effects of various transportation infrastructures along the three lines. The traffic infrastructure of the Zhongnan Peninsula economic corridor has a low effect on the economy, and the highway along the Sino-Russian economic corridor plays a significant role in the economic growth.Fourthly, the transport infrastructure along the Silk Road Economic Belt has a positive impact on China's regional economic integration, and the promotion degree of different transport infrastructures in different regions are not the same.In particular, the general road is more powerful than the expressway.Besides, the transportation infrastructure has a lowest impact on regional integration along the Zhongnan Peninsula economic corridor, and the impact of the expressway on regional integration is even negative.
