China insurance market has developed for almost30years, it has been developed very rapidly. especially in2001China accession to the WTO, China insurance industry to foreign market were open by stage, the development of the insurance industry change rapidly. However, American outbreak the financial crisis in2007, and the Europe broke the European debt crisis in2009, the whole world financial circles have been hit. China as emerging market economy undertook pulling the recovery of global economy character, this have to say is an opportunity for the development of China insurance. Ping An property insurance enterprises have excellent brand image in our country, especially in2009, Ping An insurance premium income exceed Tai bao property insurance enterprises, become the second property insurance companies in domestic market. In recent years, Ping An Property insurance company is being squeezed by domestic and foreign insurance companies, the competition between the this companies are fierce. How to keep the second, catch up with the first, to maintain the vitality of competition is the problem facing by Ping An insurance company. This requires constant adjustment of Ping An insurance company’s development strategy, to find the development strategy for the development of enterprises, improve the company’s core competitiveness, and strive for greater share in the insurance market, continuous development.the development strategy and enterprise management theory are used in this paper. First analyzes the background and characteristics of domestic insurance companies, the development process of Ping An insurance growing up in this context, and the problems met in the development process. Secondly, analyzes the international, domestic as well as itself environment of Ping An insurance company from the political, economic, social and cultural aspects. On this basis, using the Potter five competitive forces model analysis method, analyzes the impact of potential entrants, competitors, suppliers, insurant demands and substitutes on the competition of Ping An insurance company. And build the matrix structure, analyzing the corresponding measures that Ping An insurance company should make. for the different situations. Finally, according to the results of SWOT analysis put forward what strategic choice should be carried out for Ping An insurance company to improve the competitiveness of the company. This strategic choice should including the implementation of the talent strategy, Differentiation competitive strategy and business structure balanced development strategy.Through the analysis, in the fierce competitive environment, the insurance company will have to constantly analysis the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats they faced according to the environment and background, Develop their own competition strategy, maintain the core competitiveness in the process of development. Only in this way can not be eliminated in the insurance market.
