Research On The Performance Of Listed Companies In Renewable Energy

As global environmental pollution and the energy crisis exacerbating increasingly,more and more countries begin to strengthen the development and utilization of renewableenergy based on common awareness of its importance and significance, and have achievedsignificantly environmental, social and economic benefits. As a country with the rapidspeed of economic development, China’s energy contradiction between supply and demandhas also become more prominent, so the powerful development of renewable energy hasbecome an inevitable choice for China’s future sustainable development.This article carries renewable energy sector (hydro electricity, wind electricity, solarenergy and biomass energy) of China on performance evaluation research from thestarting point of the significance of the development of renewable energy industry by usingreasonable performance evaluation indicator system based on performance evaluationtheory. This helps renewable energy listed companies change their management ideas anddevelopment strategies and provides the basis for the establishment of scientific andstandardized operation performance management system to managers.Firstly, based on domestic and overseas study theories of renewable energy industry,with reference to our reality of this industry, through the establishment of performanceevaluation system, using factor analysis,this article extracts four main factors: solvency,profitability, development capacity, operational capacity, and analyzes50renewable energylisted companies on the scores of four selected primary factors relatively, then conductscomparative analysis ranked among enterprises on the final comprehensive evaluationscores, and obtains the research result of the performance evaluation, then correspondingevaluations.Secondly, to compare the four sectors of hydropower, wind power, solar energy andbiomass energy’s performance situation, this article selects five representative listedcompanies from each sector, and obtains the development situation of the four sectors infour aspects of solvency, profitability, development capabilities and operating capabilitiesby calculating the index value and comprehensive analysis, then makes a comparativeanalysis to find the comprehensive performance ranking of the four sectors based on thefinal value of comprehensive scores.Finally, based on the research findings above, summing up the experience and theactual situation, this article puts forward reasonable countermeasures and suggestionsaimed to provide reference and basis for improving the comprehensive performance ofrenewable energy listed companies.
