A Study On The Differences Between Urbanization Level And Economic Development In Yunnan Province

Urbanization is closely related to the economic development, and in turn theurbanization development level is affected by the economic development. Meanwhile,seen from the perspective of the development law of urbanization and thedevelopment pattern, urbanization construction needs to be coordinated witheconomic development. The economic in Yunnan province is developing rapidly andurbanization construction is entering into the stage of accelerating development aswell. However, the urbanization construction level and economic development levelin Yunnan province have not achieved very good coordination yet, which also leads toremarkable problems. Therefore, urbanization construction level and the coordinationproblem of economic development in cities and counties of Yunnan province havebecome an important issue that affect healthy and steady development of economyand urbanization in Yunnan province. It is extremely urgent to solve this problem.This thesis firstly summarizes the research theory of urbanization constructionand economic development coordination by building the evaluation index system,using the entropy value method and system coordination calculation method andanalyzing the urbanization construction and the coordination of economicdevelopment situation of16states in Yunnan province from2006to2012; and thenanalyzes factors influencing the urbanization construction and the coordinateddevelopment of economic development; it finally puts forward countermeasures andsuggestions to promote the urbanization construction and the coordinated economicdevelopment of in Yunnan province.The first part is the introduction part, setting force the topic background,research purpose and significance of this thesis, summarizing research results at homeand abroad and introducing the research idea, methods and the innovation of thethesis.The second part elaborates the concepts and connotations of urbanization,economic development and coordination of urbanization and economic development, summarizes coordination theory of urbanization and economic development anddivides relationship of urbanization and economic development into synchronousurbanization, excessive urbanization and lagging urbanization.The third part introduces the natural geographical environment in Yunnanprovince: the special natural geography environment in Yunnan province will affectits urbanization construction. This part mainly introduces the development course ofthe urbanization construction in Yunnan province, including a. the budding stage ofurbanization before liberation, b. The fast development stage from the founding ofnew China to1965, c. The stage from1965to the stop stage before the11th ThirdPlenary Session, d. From1978to the development recovery stage in1997, e. Thedevelopment reviving stage from1998to2005，f. The accelerated development stagefrom2006till now.The fourth part makes empirical analysis of urbanization construction andcoordination of the economic development of16cities and counties in Yunnanprovince. Firstly, it builds the evaluation index system, then uses the method ofentropy value and system coordination calculation to calculate and analyzeurbanization construction and the coordination coefficient of economic developmentand coordinated development coefficient of16cities and counties in Yunnan provincefrom2006to2012, and analyzes the related results, which show that the urbanizationconstruction and coordination of economic development is fair in the16cities andcounties in Yunnan province, with little regional difference. While the coordinateddevelopment coefficient of the16cities and counties has obvious regional difference,showing3types of distribution patterns, among which the coordinated developmentlevel in Kunming is higher than other cities and counties. Compare the coordinationcoefficient and the coordinated development coefficient comprehensively, somemunicipal urban construction and economic development have high coordination andlow development level; while sometimes the urbanization and economic developmentlevel is higher, but the coordination needs to be improved.The fifth part analyzes the factors that affect urbanization construction andfactors of coordinated economic development and regional coordination in Yunnanprovince, and the influence factors of the coordination of different cities and counties. There are mainly system factors, including the household registration system,land system and social security system, economic factors including agriculturedevelopment lag, big gap of industrial development, the unreasonable structure,virtual height of the third industry, and the lack of court planning, other factors suchas weak social basis, management lag, and etc.The sixth part put forward related countermeasures and suggestions to promotecoordination between urbanization and economic development in Yunnan provinceand balance of differences in cities and counties, including formulate scientific andrational urban planning, strengthen the reform and management of householdregistration system, develop the industry, adjust the industrial structure, adjust urbanand rural land policy step by step, perfect the social security system, and perfect theinfrastructure, etc.The sixth part summarized the full text, and look forward.
