A Study On The Relationship Between Perception Of Enterprise 's External Environment And Choice Of Technological Innovation

Under the background of economic globalization, external environment of enterprises is changing rapidly, which make enterprises development suffer great resistance. They have to find new ways to improve their cope ability. Technological innovation capability is enterprises’key power to survive and develop. In the process of strategic management, enterprises could adjust competitive strategies in a complex and dynamic environment to enhance their technological innovation decision-making ability through the mechanism formed with external environment and technological innovation choices. Make a right choice of technological innovation to improve enterprises’cope ability to the complex and dynamic external environment. Therefore, it’s necessary to research and analysis the mechanism between the enterprises’ perception of external environment and their choices of technical innovation.Based on data processing and analysis of 191 questionnaires come from different industries, this article uses empirical research methods and statistical analysis softwares of SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 17.0 to test and explain the influencing mechanism between perceived environment, enterprises’choices of technical innovation and the regulation function of innovation capacity. As for the relationship between enterprises’ perception of the external environment and enterprises’technology innovation, the findings of this paper show that there is a significant positive correlation between enterprises’ perception of the environmental dynamism and enterprises’technology innovation; There is no significant correlation between enterprises’ perception of the environmental complexity and enterprises’ technology innovation; There is a significant negative correlation between enterprises’ perception of the environmental capacity and enterprises’ incremental innovation, as well as the leap product innovation; There is no significant correlation between enterprises’perception of environmental capacity and enterprises’leap process innovation. As for innovation capacity’s mediation role in the relationship between enterprises’ perception of the external environment and enterprises’ technology innovation, the findings of this paper show that innovation capacity plays a complete mediating role in these relationships:enterprises’ perception of environmental dynamism and incremental product innovation, enterprises’perception of environmental dynamism and incremental process innovation, enterprises’ perception of environmental dynamism and leap product innovation, enterprises’ perception of environmental capacity and incremental process innovation. Innovation capacity plays a partial mediating role in these relationships:enterprises’ perception of environmental capacity and incremental product innovation, enterprises’ perception of environmental dynamism and leap process innovation. In order to give some inspiration and guidance to enterprises of our country who have to make technological innovation choices, this paper combines theoretical analysis and enterprises’ actual situation of our country, discusses the empirical results. At the last of this paper, we summarize the findings, propose inadequate and further research directions.
