With the deepening of economic globalization, the internationalization of enterprises become an irreversible trend. This year is the 14 th year of China joined in the WTO, Chinese economy has close connection to the world economy. Therefore, Chinese enterprises actively participate in global competition is imperative. In order to enhance the ability of global competition, China should develop a number of world-classmultinational Corporations. However, the internationalization history of Chinese enterprises is short, and in the process of their internationalization still exist some institutional defects and ideological pitfalls. In such a premise, the research of Chinese companies’ internationalization path has very important theoretical and practical value.This paper research on the choice of Chinese IT company--Lenovo Group’s foreign direct investment and the internationalization path, the research on such a company is not just confined to its acquisition of IBM global PC sector in 2004, also concentrate on the process of Cross-border M&A of Motorola mobile phone business. Lenovo Group’s internationalization path and strategy has a very important theoretical and practical value for the later research and for the Chinese other IT enterprise’s transnational development road. By explore the internationalization path issues in the FDI perspective, the paper will summed up the Lenovo Model, in order to get certain enlightenment for the later research.
