Research On The Correlation Between Industry Expertise And Customer Choice In Certified Public Accountants

Certified public accountants industry is developing very fast with China’s economics’ growth in recent years. In China, the voice of certified public accountants industry has been taken more and more seriously. In return, the certified public accountants industry should take more responsibility for that trust. Accounting firms should remake the strategy to adapt the changing economic environment. The pattern of development can not confined to accounting firms mergers, the intension type development is quite needed. Certified public accountants industry specialization is proved as an effective way of competition in theory and in practice. But it still not confirmed that whether the clients prefer to choose the accounting firms with industry specialization or not. That is what this article is study on. Base on the data of China listed companies, the author want to analyze the relationship of certified public accountants industry specialization and client’s selection. After we understand the relationship of certified public accountants industry specialization and client’s selection, it may help accounting firms to make the most reasonable business strategy to enhance its competitiveness.In this article, firstly, introduce the theoretical of certified public accountants industry specialization and client’s selection based on literature review. Secondly, put forward the hypothesis and research model. Finally, analyze the relationship between certified public accountants firm industry specialization and client’s selection base on the date from 2009 to 2013 of China listed companies.It’s hoped that the conclusions for this article can help accounting firms make the right decision for developing through the analysis the relationship between certified public accountants firm industry specialization and client’s selection. The research results prove that industry specialization has a positive influence of the clients’ increase, and the industry competition level will affect clients’ selection. Thus conclusions give accounting firms an enlightenment of the important of industry specialization, and a way to enhance its competitiveness.
