Study On Intra - Industry Trade Of Sino - German Mechanical And Electrical Products

The contemporary forms of international trade, from the product structure can be broadly divided into two types:one is to use factor endowments theory and comparative advantage to explain the inter-industry trade, the second is based on product differentiation, economies of scale, the level of development,we call it intra-industry trade. With the accelerating development of global economic and liberalization of trade, intra-industry trade pattern is gradually replacing the traditional inter-industry trade pattern, all countries pay attentions to it.China and Germany as the great trade nation, both expand the electromechanical products export to promote their economic growth and the development of foreign trade. Under the bilateral trade volume between China and Germany increasingly expanding and cooperation increasingly closed,a research on how to improve the level of trade in mechanical and electrical products industry between Germany and China, will be of great significance to our economic development.This paper is based on the foreign intra-industry trade theory, calculate and analyze the mechanical and electrical products intra-industry trade between China and Germany during2000and2012, found it has reached a higher levels of mechanical and electrical products trade between China and Germany, intra-industry trade has become the main form of mechanical and electrical products trade between China and Germany. Through the calculation of16types of mechanical and electrical products, found the bilateral electromechanical products intra-industry trade is still in the vertical intra-industry trade.Clear the Sino-Germany mechanical and electrical products industry trade characteristics,we establish multiple regression equation, analyze the regression association with the Sino-Germany electrical products industry trade and a variety of factors. The case study of the relevant factors in the bilateral trade of mechanical and electrical products, like income differences between countries, foreign direct investment, research investment, opening up of the market; size and the difference between countries. Finally, it indicates that the factors of the economics of scale have a certain degree of negative effect on the intra-industry trade while the factor of scientific research in China and the level of opening plays a positive role. And the FDI factor has no influence with the development of the intra-industry trade between China and Germany.Finally, this paper give some suggestions to the development of the Sino-Germany mechanical and electronic intra-industry trade. The main suggestions include:Optimizing the industrial structure of mechanical and electrical products, vigorously develop different products; Increase the national income, increasing national consumption demand level; Actively promote regional economic integration, narrow the gap between the market scale; Carry out international cooperation, improve the level of opening to the outside world; Increasing investment in scientific research.Articles with innovations in two aspects:First, research angle innovation. For the domestic study of intra-industry trade mainly concentrated in United States and Europe as well as China with neighboring countries within the industry, although there are lot of study for the manufacturing sector, very few people are refined to study the German mechanical and electrical products industry with China. Considering the reality Sino-Germany bilateral trade of electromechanical products has developed into the key trade recently, this paper will do a comprehensive and objective study for the Sino-Germany mechanical and electrical products intra-industry trade; Second, research ideas innovation. Use qualitative and quantitative analyze methods, find a large amount of data to calculate a comprehensive and objective analysis of the situation and influencing factors with German mechanical and electrical products industry trade with China, then form new thinking about the development of intra-industry trade on the basis of previous studies.
