The company is the basic element of the economy, the competitiveness of the company’s development, a company wants to go out smoothly, can not avoid the problem about the international competitiveness. At the level of the overall development in economy of our country from the point of view, the majority of private enterprises in the international competitiveness is weak to strong competition in the international market, and state-owned enterprises to participate in international competition is often is representative of the main force, also as the international economy the main role to protect the economic security.This paper chooses Jiangsu Cathay Pacific Group as an example to study for three reasons.:One, Cathay group is a state-owned enterprise. Cathay Pacific Group is by Zhangjiagang government holdings of state-owned enterprises, as a typical state-owned enterprise, Cathay Pacific Group not only play the role of general enterprise production and trade and cooperation, and take the special political and social services;Two, Cathay Pacific Group is a sophisticated enterprise. The formal establishment of the Cathay Pacific Group is in the 1990s, but its development was started in the twenty years before the foreign trade company can be said so far, this is a standing enterprise for more than forty years, experienced so years of policy adjustment, or even financial crisis. It not only fails to fall of the aging, but Yuecuoyueyong, has now become China textile foreign trade industry ranked third in the big company.Three, the core business of Cathay Pacific Group is the import and export of foreign trade textiles. The industry can be said is the letter of the perfectly competitive industry, due to the little difference between the goods, after experienced to survival and to take the vicious competition means, within the industry enterprise even if the repeated compression cost can only leave a very low profit rate. The advent of the Internet era again pull the lower the access threshold, traditional domestic enterprises also waiting to join the competition to the army, to survive in this very difficult circumstances, Cathay Pacific Group has achieved a brilliant, and keep the profit margins of more than 8%, the figure in the same industry is quite rare. As the industry leader, Cathay Pacific to enhance the international competitiveness of a variety of practices, not only for enterprises in the industry has a strong reference to the other almost perfectly competitive industry enterprises also have underestimated the reference value, even large state-owned enterprises in the monopoly industry will also have considerable implications.After analyzing on the Cathay Pacific Group operating income, operating margin, operating margin and other data, found that the international competitiveness of Cathay is gradually enhanced, and focus on the selection of the "going out", "brand strategy", "training", "diversification" and "reform" five aspects of analysis of these, Cathay do good for companies from other aspects; at the same time, raised the risk of optimism behind, to be alert to rely too much on cost advantage, sales channel is thin, the added value of the products have a negative impact on low, since shouted "one hundred years of Cathay" slogan, we must constantly improve themselves, to further enhance the international this competition, in order to go further. The advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats of Jiangsu Cathay Pacific Group were comprehensively analyzed by using SWOT analysis, and the competition strategy for future choice was proposed.. Finally, the research is summarized, and some suggestions for enhancing the international competitiveness are proposed for the enterprise.
