Today, towns such as Lhasa, Tsedang County, Xigaze, Gyangze,are the main production base for Tibetan carpets in Tibet.The development of Tibet Tibetan carpet industry is based on Tibetan peculiar nature and rich cultural feature.To promote the development of Tibetan carpet industry, it has positive effect in promoting employment and increasing income of farmers, the economic development of the surrounding area, heritage of unique process Tibetan carpets, and spread Tibetan culture, expanding exports. By widely using wool and yak velvet as material, abstracting pigment from natural plant and minerals,unique of Tibet type wear rod and buckle method, blanket surface has particular characteristic, forms natural smooth of lines, stereo sharp in visual effect, patchwork of features, showing distinguishment from normal carpet, and old rustic beauty and unique national style. To promote localspecial industries development, on one hand,can further expand the scale of industry, improve product quality and industrial efficiency. On the other hand, it is consistent with the direction of the Western development, achieving sustainable development.Tibetan carpet industry has a good resource base and comparative advantage, broad market, rich culture and a strong competitive advantage. It is the new economic growth point.However, just judging from the domestic development of Tibetan carpets, Tibetan carpet industry is lower in industrial production, market shares and also meets some problems such as disadvantage in industrial scale,poor innovation ability,lag in skill and so on.
