The rapid development of economy brings the rapid increase of social wealth, which creates unprecedented development prospects in the private banking business in our country. Under the background of the development of the capital market, the acceleration of the marketization of interest rate and the gradually deepening of financial disintermediation, interest spreads of deposit and loan profit model which the domestic commercial banks rely on for a long time will be totally turning, and China’s commercial banks have realized the urgency of the development of private banking. Therefore, to shift banking structure and profit model and to provide customers with diversified and professional financial services and products, has become a developing and promoting goal of commercial banks.This paper employs the methods of induction deduction, comparative analysis and so on. On the basis of the introduction of the overview on the private banking business, this paper analyzes the factors affecting the mode selection of private banking, draws lessons from foreign countries and area of private banking business model, compares to the current situation of private banking business of our country’s commercial bank, analyzes the existing problems and disadvantages of Jiangsu province branch of China Construction Bank, trys to find a suitable model for the development of the local business and puts forward some countermeasures for the development of private banks in China, and makes some theoretical exploration and discussion.The main points and conclusions of this paper are:the development mode of private banks of Jiangsu province branch of China Construction Bank are (1) based on the development of the localization concept model; (2) the staging of promotion of private banking organization mode; (3) efficiently organize collectivize operation mode; (4) follow the specialization development service mode; (5) create the platform mode of products supply. Therefore, it is necessary to establish private banking development customer-focused philosophy;form orderly front, middle, back platform system;construct quickly fully opened product system;create reasonable performance appraisal mechanism;build effective business risk control system, etc.
