Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid social development, people in big cities bear a lot of physical and psychological stress. In contrast with deteriorating living environment and improved requirements in quality of life, health issues are back under the spotlight. Consumers’ concerns on health guide the direction of product design; therefore product users’ health has gradually become an important aspect during product research and development that designers need to consider.As for the air environment which is directly related to the health of human respiratory tract and other organs, has also gained widespread concern with the high-frequency exposure of PM2.5 and other air pollutions. Research shows that 70% of a person’s life time spent indoors. Air-conditioner as one of the main household electrical appliances regulating indoor air environment, is responsible for improving the environmental health of the inhabitants. Under the trend of Things and Big Data, air conditioning also followed the pace of the black toward the "smart" era. After listing the basic functions of air conditioning, manufacturers committed to the R & D in understanding the needs of users, and making their products more intelligent. For example, the air-conditioning system could automatically adjust temperature and humidity by detecting the indoor and outdoor environment data, add air filtration systems to fight against PM2.5 air pollution problems, and use infrared sensor to detect user’s orientation in order to avoid discomfort caused by blowing straight and so on.Product interactive design system(PACT-P) people-oriented, cross-disciplinary and multi-sectoral integration features, the thesis examines health-oriented design of intelligent air-conditioning products in the PACT-P framework which has the features of people-oriented, cross-disciplinary and multi-sectoral integration, and is divided into three major parts and six sections. The first part is to explore and define the concept and development of health in the interdisciplinary field of view, such as health industrial design, indoor environmental health. The second part is a health-oriented intelligent air conditioning research, from the three aspects of user, environment and product. The third part refines the health-oriented design strategies and principles of intelligent air-conditioning, using practical case to prove, which aims to establish a reference for the intelligent air-conditioning industry and enhance the theory of healthy design.
