Adding high energy metal combustion agent in solid rocket propellant can improve the specific impulse of engine and inhibits the combustion instability. All the reaction from Aluminum particle’s agglomeration on the surface of burning propellant to the aggolomeration and breakdown of two-phase flow gas-droplets particles under high temperature and high pressure are based on the initial fomula of combustion agent, therefore, it is necessary to carry out the particle distribution of combustion agent and simulation of agglomeration process. The main research work are as follows;(1) Simulating two-dimensional random distribution of particles and establishing three kinds of random distribution prototype, according to the fact that the burning propellant is applied to burn layer by layer, and the principle of impact of particles, Confirming a better prototype according to the difference of simulation accurancy and efficiency, which is the basis of the simulation of three-dimensional random particle distribution;(2) Establishing a three-dimensional random particle distribution prototype and studying the random distribution rule of particles through the analysis of particle collision process; Improving the "random package" prototype and combining with a certain Aluminizing AP/HTPB composite solid propellant formula and simulating the random distribution features of AP and Al particles;(3) Simulating two-dimensional distribution features of a bi-component particle based on a better two-dimensional prototype. Gaining the random distribution diagram of particle agglomeration, by combining two kinds of agglomeration algorithm and simulating the process of particle agglomeration;(4) Combining the three-dimensional random distribution features of the established Aluminizing AP/HTPB composite solid propellant particle and two kinds of agglomeration algorithm, simulate the process of three-dimensional particle agglomeration, gain the random agglomeration phase diagram of particle agglomeration and analyze the agglomeration features of particles, based on the improved three-dimensional random algorithm. It turned out that the simulation result conforms with the theoretical expectations;The particles random distribution and agglomeration process are simulated in the Al AP/HTPB composite propellant, which can provide an important reference for the study of aluminum particles combustion on the surface of the propellant and the particles agglomeration distribution.
